Programmes

In Roads

Opening Hours: Tuesday, 1pm – 4pm and Thursday, 9am – 2pm.

Inroads is an Activity Based Drop in Centre, open to people who are working towards Mental Wellbeing. The centre provides a safe, warm, friendly and relaxing environment in which to socialize, seek companionship, and to share laughter. Creating an opportunity to empower people, reduce stigma and discrimination, and to overcome isolation. For a small contribution of $1.00, the Centre provides a home cooked meal on Thursdays for its members.

This is a drop-in programme, no need to make an appointment

Support Groups

Supporting Families Southland facilitates various support groups, located both in Invercargill and the rural communities. Support Groups give families and whanau the opportunity to make friends, share information, share stories, listen, have fun, and to be just you.

Invercargill Support Group
Meets third Monday of the month at 362 Dee Street Invercargill from 12pm - 1.30pm.

Riverton Support Group
Meets once a month at Thyme Out Teahouse, 12 Lex St Riverton from 12.30pm – 2.30pm.

Te Anau Support Group
Meets second Wednesday of the month from 12.30pm – 2.30pm (contact Joanne on 021 071 8638 regarding venue).

Gore Support Group
Meets first Thursday of the month at "Welcome In", 37 Hokonui Drive Gore at 7.30 pm.

SF Women's Lunch
Women's Lunch is a once a month gathering of Mothers, Partners/Wives, Sisters, Grandmothers and Friends.
Times are changing but care is still being given by women in many carer roles. We at SF acknowledge these women by offerning them a nice meal and social gathering, peer support, laughter and stories which have on occasion removed a sense of isolation. Friendships are formed, knowledge and experience shared and acceptance is the essence.
First or second Monday of the month at 362 Dee Street Invercargill from 12pm - 1.30pm

Men's Interest Group
Last Wednesday of the month (except April) at 362 Dee Street Invercargill at 7pm. Supper provided, all welcome.
